Started off as a beautiful Sunday. Sun shining, birds chirping, and all that sissy crap.  Dan and I were heading down to Brady Street for some lunch at Glorioso’s Deli when Dan randomly blurts out “what about Wing Zone?”.  So the wing freaks we are, we change plans and head to Wing Zone. On the way we called out friends Danny and Kim to see if they wanted to join us since they were on the way there anyway.  Picked them up, rolled down the windows and blasted the stereo all the way to Brady Street.

Wing Zone is a chain so we didn’t have very high expectations.  The prices weren’t too bad at roughly $40 for 50 wings and 4 20oz sodas. We could only choose 3 flavors. Splitting up 50 three ways is kind of retarded but whatever I guess. So we ordered the Ragin’ Cajun, Spicy BBQ, and the Honey BBQ for our friend Kim since she doesn’t like hot stuff very much. The order took about 15-20 minutes but which as fine since we were sitting outside in the beautiful sunshine and the guy brought it out to us which was nice.

First off, the wings were pretty damn big. A lot bigger than BW3’s. The doneness of the wings was really good. Slightly crispy skin just how I like it. The “wing to sauce ratio” was heavy on the sauce side which I didn’t mine personally. The Honey BBQ was a very good wing. The sauce wasn’t too sweet to where it made you get sick of them after eating only three but not bland to where they were gross. Very good wing if you aren’t into hot and spicy sauces. They Spicy BBQ was kind of disappointing in where it had little if any spice to it at all. Tasted like a sweet bbq if you ask me. Still a very good tasting sauce but just not what I was looking for.  The Ragin’ Cajun was very very good. Great heat and spice with a good Cajun flavor. I kind of like my Cajun style wings to be a dry type wing, but these were a good substitute. It had great bite upon eating your first wing and that heat stayed with you wing after wing without being overpowering.

Wing Zone gets two thumbs up from me. Huge wings with good sauces for a reasonable price. AND THEY DELIVER if you live or are in the area which is really slick if you ask me. If they had one by my house, they would for sure know my voice and where I live by heart. One downer is that there is only 5 or 6 places to sit inside since it’s basically a takeout/delivery place which I could see sucking in the winter months if you don’t get them delivered or live in the area. So finding somewhere to eat your delicious chickeny goodness would be a problem. But screw it, id just eat them in my car in the parking lot.
