Brew City Wingfest 2011 was a Tremendous Success!

We came, we ate, we saw, we recorded, we ate, we drank, and we conquered!

Yesterday the 1st Annual Brew City Wingfest was held at Potowotomi Bingo and Casino and from start to finish this event was a blast. aWingThing.Com came in with cameras blazin’ and empty stomachs and we were treated to the best wing related event this side of Buffalo, NY. A couple of us went to the Chicago Wingfest, which has been going on for years, and this event blew that one out of the water. On it’s first try!

Congratulations to the guys at Tomken’s for winning the best wing voted by the judges. As we were going around interviewing people it was clear you guys were going to win. So again, congrats.

Congratulations to Ronn and the team from The Saloon for winning the hottest wing at the event with their Ghost Pepper and Habenaro infused sauce that was so hot a mere shot of it could have you with your head hanging over a trash can and drooling uncontrollably  (we have video evidence of such an event happening).

Congratulations to the guy from Stubby’s on murdering those wings in the wing eating contest. I thought for sure our guy, Nick ‘ The Piranha’ Amezquita, had it in the bag but he didn’t stand a chance.

I also want to thank Roman Torrez and also Meghan from MetroThief.Com for letting us be a part of the event.

And last but not least I want to thank all the great restaurants, bars, and pubs that brought there great wings out for Milwaukee to enjoy all under one roof. Thanks again!

That’s it for now. I just wanted to say a little something about the success of the event. I feel bad for the wing fans out there that missed out on this great event.
