Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe

aWingThing’s Ultimate version of the famous Buffalo Chicken Dip. Made with fresh chicken breast and Frank’s Original Hot, you’ll be making this recipe over and over again! A few years ago I had Buffalo Chicken Dip for the first time at a friends house during a Packers game. While that version of the dip wasn’t the best I knew it could be really good when done right. The main issue I had the Buffalo Chicken Dip I sampled was the person said she used canned chicken. Ewwww. Gross. I’m a foodie through and through. There’s no way I’d ever make a recipe using canned chicken. So after looking up some recipes online and trying a few out, taking notes,...

Spicy Italian Wing Sauce – Dago Sauce

Dago Sauce – Spicy Italian Wing Sauce I came up with this spicy Italian wing sauce, like I do all my sauces, because I wanted to try and make something a little different that you can’t just get anywhere. I’m not professional chef by any means.  I just try to use what I have in my fridge. So one day I came up with what became an AWESOME Italian style sauce with a little bit of kick that has been a hit with my friends since day 1. Why did i call my  spicy Italian wing sauce “Dago Sauce” ?……. Since its an Italian style sauce, and my last name is Lorino; I’m obviously Asian. 8-10 oz – Zesty Italian...

Kyle’s Garlic Ranch Wings

Kyle’s Garlic Ranch Wings This sauce goes way back to my college days cooking wings at the fraternity house. One member, “who loves Miller Lite thought that my sauce was a tad spicy and “dropped” an entire bottle of ranch sauce into it. I still get people craving this sauce; it is addictive, so please eat with caution. What you will need: Sauce pan Grill Deep pot 2 lbs. of wings 24 oz of beer Franks Red Hot Sauce Cayenne Pepper Powder 3 Whole Garlic Cloves Butter Garlic Powder Garlic Salt Hidden...

Adam’s Chili Lime Wings w/ Agave Dipping Sauce

Adam’s Chili Lime Wings w/ Agave Dipping Sauce I came across this recipe while browsing the net. Thought it would be different to try at one of our wing nights. So we gathered the ingredients on our pilgrimage to the store for beer and more beer. For some reason, night one we didn’t make wings. I think we all ended up going out and getting hammered or something. I can’t remember. But what I do remember is waking up and seeing the wings already prepared and marinating in the fridge. WTF?????  Did I sleepwalk and make wings? Was I so hammered that I didn’t remember doing this?? Come to find out, Adam decided to wake up hammered and prepare...

Wings with Beer Built in!

The Kansas City Star shared a recipe from Chef Jason Bowers of 12 Baltimore Cafe in the Hotel Phillips downtown Kansas city that I have to put on my list of wing recipes and wanted to share. The basis of the recipe is the marinade which consists of brown sugar, cayenne pepper, pepper, garlic, and 3 pints of beer. For cooking they suggest either baking or frying the wings. With as many wings as I’ve made at home, my vote is always with frying. Although baking is definitely the healthier cooking method if that is a concern for you. Here at aWingThing.Com we tend to throw caution to the wind in favor of flavor. A link to the article...
