Slows BBQ – Detroit, MI

Slows BBQ in Detroit has some fantastic BBQ and tender Wings. They aren’t your usual fried wings, but worth a try. The gang went to Detroit a few weeks ago now and we had an absolute blast. We got to tour the MCS (Michigan Train Station) thanks to our helpful guide, and went to the largest auto show in the entire country. Wings, MoTown, and Beer – We’re headed to Detroit!

On Friday the crew is piling into Dan’s Mariner Mountaineer and heading to Detroit. I’ve been going to Detroit for the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) since 2001 and Nick has been going with me since probably 2004 or so. We always have a great time. Last year we tried a place called Sweet Water at 400 East Congress Street after getting a tip from a local bartender and the wings were incredible. We will be checking them out again (to get some more opinions) as well as Union Street to try their Rasta Wings, and maybe Slows BBQ  if the line isn’t too long.
